Our Live Judges!

At the screening, a panel of industry judges will evaluate and rank the films as they are shown. They will provide immediate commentary on the films in the Canadian Idol - style set up. The winning films will be awarded at the end of the screening!

Gavin Michael Booth

A Windor-based director/producer and owner of Mimetic Productions, Booth has produced work for noted music acts such as Vanessa Carlton, Third Eye Blind, Bon Jovi, Finger 11, Switchfoot, and more. He is the creator of the “How Many Days” project--a quest to meet twelve industry leaders that have inspired and influenced him, known as his “Dream Dozen”.

Jan Peter Meyboom

Jan Peter Meyboom is a multiple Gemini nominee, and a partner in the Emmy-winning production company 100 Percent Film & Television. Meyboom was executive producer for the Emmy-winning series, the Newsroom. Additional production credits include PSI Factor, Peter Benchley’s Amazon, At the Hotel, the Murdoch Mysteries, and the critically acclaimed film adaptation of Sen. Romeo Dallaire’s Shake Hands with the Devil.

Sean Dickinson

Sean Dickinson is one of the studio heads of Hamilton’s newest film studio: Steel Work Studios. Once a close collaborator with shock comic Tom Green, Sean also ran a casting agency for several years. His credits include Cinderella Man, Four Brothers, the Man, and Queer as Folk.

Our Adjunct Jury!

Every film entered into the festival will be reviewed by a jury of industry leaders. This jury will provide written comments for each filmmaking team. The comments will be made available to filmmakers at the end of the screening.
